Welcome to grothsart.com, a web site featuring artwork done by Johan Groth.

The artwork found within these pages are called fractals. You may or may not know what a fractal is, but in either case I hope you enjoy your visit. Please view the galleries to get your own opinion on what a fractal is, or go to the About page to get a more detailed explanation.

I have shown my artwork on the web for several years and moved the web site to many different locations. Now I have finally rented my own web hotel, and that gave me the opportunity to completely redesign the site, not just visually, but internally too. I decided to learn PHP and MySQL for easier maintenance of the site, and I have also followed a new trend in web design and styled the entire page without the use of tables, and only used CSS based techniques. I hope you find the result appealing, and you are welcome to add any comments in the Guestbook or you can contact me personally.

Wow... it's been almost 2 years since I first started on this webpage, and yet not a single update... Well... it's time for some changes to that... I've not made a single fractal for about 2 years, but suddenly I just felt that I wanted to be creative again... So here you go... "Ferrum" and "Lavendula Tempestas" can be seen on the 3rd page in the gallery. Enjoy!

Grand opening

Finally, the day has come for me to open this site. Parts of my old site has been down for some time and I have not really had time until now to fix it. I also decided to remake the entire site in the process and remove some old images. I have added some new images too. They are not really new ones, but older ones that I found in my folders and decided to style up a bit and add to the site. Hopefully, I will have time to make some new images soon and I will upload them as soon as possible. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you find any bugs or something other strange on the site.
